St Elizabeth of the Trinity
The Life of Elizabeth of the Trinity
by Jennifer Moorcroft
This book tells of the life story of this special soul: Part One covers the early years and Part Two covers her life in Carmel.
A modern mystic, Blessed Elizabeth of the Trinity was a Discalced Carmelite nun who died in 1906 in the Dijon Carmel of France at the young age of twenty-six and was beatified by Pope John Paul II on November 25, 1984. One of her most famous sayings, "I have found heaven on earth, since heaven is God, and God is in my soul," epitomizes Elizabeth\'s realization of this doctrine in her spiritual experience. She described her mission as leading souls to seek and to find God in prayer: "My mission in heaven will be to draw souls, helping them to go out of themselves to cling to God, with a spontaneous, love-filled action, and to keep them in that great interior silence which enables God to make his mark on them, to transform them into himself."

Twenty Poems of Bl. Elizabeth of the Trinity with Passages from Bl Dom Columba Marmion, OSB
by Bl Elizabeth of the Trinity
translated by Alan Bancroft
New and vivid translations of the twenty poems by Blessed Elizabeth of the Trinity that were published in the Souvenirs shortly after her death in 1906. Accompanying each poem is a selected passage from Abbot Marmion, also newly translated. The editor and translator, Alan Bancroft, shows how strikingly the writings of the celebrated Benedictine Blessed Columba Marmion (beatified in 2000) and those of the young French Carmelite interlock. Elizabeth Catez, beatified in 1984, loved God with an astonishing intensity. These translations - of poems mainly unpublished before in English - together with a discerning introduction present to the reader an out-of-the-ordinary person indeed. She (like Abbot Marmion) answers in a direct manner a central question facing us all: 'What is our existence for?' Alan Bancroft is well known for his accomplished verse translation of, and commentary on, poems of St Therese of Lisieux.

The Complete Works of Elizabeth of The Trinity, vol. 1
Major Spiritual Writings
Translated by Aletheia Kane, OCD
Elizabeth of the Trinity (Elizabeth Catez), who died in 1906 at the age of 26 in the Carmel of Dijon, is a mystic for our times, with a profound spirituality rooted not in visions and voices but in attention to the indwelling Trinity and in the call to become a "praise of glory" for God.
This first volume of her Complete Works contains her major spiritual writings, including two sets of retreat notes ("Heaven in Faith" and "Last Retreat") and her famous prayer "O My God, Trinity Whom I Adore." A comprehensive introduction to Elizabeth's life and spirituality by the editor, Conrad De Meester, is also included, along with detailed notes and 5 pages of photos.

The Complete Works of Elizabeth of The Trinity, vol. 2
Letters From Carmel
Translated by Anne Englund Nash
This second of three volumes of her Complete Works contains all of Elizabeth's surviving letters from Carmel. It includes 8 photos, background information and the horarium for the Dijon Carmel, as well as the floor plan for the monastery.
In simple and tender language, writing to friends and family, Elizabeth returns again and again to the great themes of her spirituality: the indwelling Trinity, silence and solitude, living by love, becoming a "praise of glory" (laudem gloriae) by sharing in the dying and rising of Jesus Christ. Here too we find many of her best-known sayings, e.g., "I have found my heaven on earth, for heaven is God, and God is in my soul."
