Story of St Lucy

'Lucy was born around the year 283 in Sicily. When an illness confined her nother to bed, Lucy cared for her and encouraged her to travel to the tomb of St Agatha. Through her intercession her mother was cured. Reading this story can encourage us to follow in the footsteps of Saint Lucy, who sought the intercession of the saints and remained true to her faith even in the face of death. '
