Kindness counts. If you have trouble acting with the consistent kindness our Lord expects, your relationships with God and those you love may be suffering.

You’ll learn how to be kinder, even in difficult circumstances.

This book by popular author Father Lovasik, S.V.D., teaches children about the Psalms, the ‘prayerbook of the Church.’
The Psalms are a special book in the Bible made up of 150 prayers and songs written a long time ago. They were written by people like King David, who loved God very much. The Psalms are important because they help us talk to God in many different ways.
Sometimes, the Psalms are like happy songs, praising God for His goodness. For example, Psalm 100 says, "Make a joyful noise to the Lord, all the earth!" These words remind us to thank God for all the wonderful things He has given us, like our family, friends, and the beauty of nature.
Other Psalms are like prayers for help. When we feel scared, sad, or lost, the Psalms teach us to trust in God. Psalm 23 says, "The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want." This means God is always with us, guiding and taking care of us, just like a shepherd cares for sheep.
The Psalms also remind us that it’s okay to share our feelings with God—whether we’re happy, sad, scared, or angry. They show us that God listens and loves us no matter what.
Children can use the Psalms to pray, sing, or just feel close to God. They teach us how to trust Him, say thank you, and ask for His help. The Psalms are like a treasure chest full of love, hope, and joy for everyone!
