Liturgical Novenas and Triduums
by Father Lawrence G. Lovasik. The aim of this booklet is to unite souls more closely to our Heavenly Mother, Mary, that through her they may belong to Jesus Christ in a more nearly perfect manner. It offers a two-fold means to attain this end. The first is the use of the Liturgical Novenas and Triduums, which have been drawn exclusively from the Church’s Liturgy, namely, from the Roman Breviary and the Missal. Liturgical Novenas and Triduums was prepared to extend almost continuously throughout the year. The second means which this booklet offers to unite souls to Mary is the entire consecration to her as explained in Part II. May this consecration to Mary be the happy consequence of thinking of her daily in terms of the Liturgy! Impr 1941. PB, 128 pages.

Clean Love in Courtship
by Fr. Lawrence Lovasik, SVD

This booklet contains practical advice on the subjects of dating and choosing a spouse from the Catholic theological viewpoint. Father Lovasik points out clearly what one's moral obligations are in this area, providing an invaluable aid to youthful readers.

Additionally, he demonstrates that Catholic marriage is different from secular marriage and why it is important to choose a partner who is of the Catholic Faith if one would ensure his or her personal happiness in marriage. With the rampant dangers to impurity today, with the lax moral standards of a large segment of our society, with divorce at epidemic levels, Clean Love in Courtship will be a welcome source of light and guidance to Catholics serious about their faith.

The Psalms
The Psalms
by Fr Lawrence Lovasik

This book by popular author Father Lovasik, S.V.D., teaches children about the Psalms, the ‘prayerbook of the Church.’

The Psalms are a special book in the Bible made up of 150 prayers and songs written a long time ago. They were written by people like King David, who loved God very much. The Psalms are important because they help us talk to God in many different ways.

Sometimes, the Psalms are like happy songs, praising God for His goodness. For example, Psalm 100 says,
"Make a joyful noise to the Lord, all the earth!" These words remind us to thank God for all the wonderful things He has given us, like our family, friends, and the beauty of nature.
Other Psalms are like prayers for help. When we feel scared, sad, or lost, the Psalms teach us to trust in God. Psalm 23 says,
"The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want." This means God is always with us, guiding and taking care of us, just like a shepherd cares for sheep.
The Psalms also remind us that it’s okay to share our feelings with God—whether we’re happy, sad, scared, or angry. They show us that God listens and loves us no matter what.

Children can use the Psalms to pray, sing, or just feel close to God. They teach us how to trust Him, say thank you, and ask for His help. The Psalms are like a treasure chest full of love, hope, and joy for everyone!

  • What Are the Psalms?
