by Flavius, CSC

Agnes grew up at a time when many people were forgetful of God. Many did not value the precious gift God had give them and went to church only because it was the sociable thing to do. After her sister Clare joined St. Francis, Agnes followed against her father's wishes. They founded an order known today as the Poor Clares. They chose poverty over riches knowing they were doing God's Will. Agnes accepted all trials as stepping stones to God. We too, must accept all trials and treat them as gifts to help us reach Heaven. Has Nihil Obstat and Imprimatur
